The North East England Mining Archive and Resource Centre (NEEMARC)
at the University of Sunderland is home to some of the region’s most important
mining information. The new centre, which received £270,000 from the Heritage
Lottery Fund, houses trade union records, health and safety information,
technical reports and legal records relating to mining.
